The Food Preparation Certificate prepares individuals for jobs in the Culinary/Hospitality field. This certificate introduces basic culinary skills required to work in the Culinary/Hospitality field and will will prepare individuals for jobs as prep cooks or other basic entry-level positions depending on the establishment.
Certificates less than 16 credit hours are not eligible for financial aid.
Graduation Requirements
- Total Credit Hours: 13 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
- Residency: 7 credit hours or more at Richland Community College
