Manufacturing Engineering Technology Certificate (300H)
This career-laddering certificate is designed to prepare the graduate with a thorough knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful in a manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance environment. This certificate program allows the student to concentrate learning in the manufacturing systems found in the industrial environment. Graduates will be prepared for the following positions: Engineering Assistant, Maintenance Technician, CNC Operator/Programmer, Manufacturing Technician, Plant Technician, CMM Programmer, Quality Technician, Associate Engineering Technician, Plant Technician, Service Technician, and Systems Integration Technician. Graduates will be able to translate the engineer’s designs into systems and projects; collect and analyze data; develop design layouts; inspect work; check, maintain, and repair industrial equipment; and prepare reports for the engineering team.
Graduation Requirements
- Total Credit Hours: 45 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
- Residency: 15 credit hours or more at Richland
