Electrical Systems Certificate (300D)
This career-laddering certificate is designed to prepare the graduate with a thorough knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful in a manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance environment. This certificate program allows the student to concentrate learning on electrical systems found in the manufacturing environment. Graduates will be prepared for the following positions: Engineering Assistant, Maintenance Technician, Associate Engineering Technician, Industrial Electronics Technician, Plant Technician, Service Technician, and System Application Technician. Graduates will be able to translate engineers' designs into systems and projects; collect and analyze data; develop design layouts; inspect work; check, maintain, and repair equipment; and prepare reports for the engineering team.
This certificate is aligned with the AAS Electrical Systems Specialty.
Graduation Requirements
- Total Credit Hours: 49 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
- Residency: 15 credit hours or more at Richland
