Industrial Maintenance Certificate (300B)

This career-laddering certificate is designed to prepare the graduate with a thorough knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful in a manufacturing maintenance environment. Graduates will be prepared for the following positions: Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Mechanic, Electrician, and Industrial Machine Mechanic. Graduates will be able to translate the engineer’s designs into systems and project; collect and analyze data; inspect work; check, maintain, and repair equipment; and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Course work includes motor controls, fluid power, industrial processes. AutoCAD, piping, power transmission, safety, and CNC fundamentals. 

 

This certificate is aligned with the AAS Electrical Systems Specialty, AAS Instrumentation Systems Specialty, and AAS Mechanical Systems Specialty.

Graduation Requirements

1. Total Credit Hours: 27 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
2. Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
3. Residency: 14 credit hours or more at Richland
