Free Microsoft Office for Richland Students
Through the Microsoft Student Advantage Program, students who are currently enrolled at Richland Community College can download Microsoft Office on their personal technical devices at no cost.
How to Install Microsoft 365 Products on a New Device:
1. Check to see if you already have Microsoft 365 installed on your device. If already installed, please use the next set of directions, "How to Login to Microsoft 365 if Products already Installed on a Device".
2. Go to https://www.office.com
3. Log in with your Richland e-mail address and NetID password.
4. Click on "Apps," located on the left-hand side of the page.
5. Click on the purple "Install Apps" on the top right-hand side of the page.
6. Select "Microsoft 365 apps."
7. Click on the orange "Install Apps" button.
8. Download and install on your personal device.
How to Login to Microsoft 365 if Products Already Installed on a Device:
1. If you are using a Windows device, open Microsoft Word. If you are using an Apple device, open Microsoft Excel.
2. Sign in to the application with your Richland student email and password.
3. A window will open to ask you if you want to sign into all apps, select "No, this app only." Note: You will not be prompted to sign into the other applications with this method.
