The Diesel Service Technician certificate maps to the ASE T8 and H8 exams for preventative maintenance skills. The courses included in this certificate train the student to analyze key components of a truck, identify and troubleshoot possible problem areas, and provide the necessary preventative maintenance to service the vehicle. This job is for an entry-level position for anyone wishing to enter the diesel technology field.
Certificates less than 16 credit hours are not eligible for financial aid.
Graduation Requirements
- Total Credit Hours: 8 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
- Residency: 4 credit hours or more at Richland
