The HVAC Specialist certificate maps to the ASE T7 and H7 exams for the diesel heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Students earning this certificate must master the principles of thermal dynamics; possess a working knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and their various components; perform diagnostics to troubleshoot problems; and repair those problem areas. This laddered certificate builds on the Diesel Performance Specialist certificate and provides the student with specialized skills in the diesel HVAC fields. This is another example of a certificate that will provide additional opportunities for advancement.
