Industrial Maintenance Certificate (300B)
This career-laddering certificate is designed to prepare the graduate with a thorough knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful in a manufacturing maintenance environment. Graduates will be prepared for the following positions: Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Mechanic, Electrician, and Industrial Machine Mechanic. Graduates will be able to translate the engineer’s designs into systems and projects; collect and analyze data; inspect work; check, maintain, and repair equipment; and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Course work includes motor controls, fluid power, industrial processes, AutoCAD, piping, power transmission, safety, and CNC fundamentals.
Graduation Requirements
- Total Credit Hours: 27 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
- Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
- Residency: 14 credit hours or more at Richland
