CNC Operator Certificate (300A)

This career-laddering certificate is designed to prepare the graduate with thorough knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful in a CNC manufacturing environment. Graduates will be prepared for the following positions: CNC Operator, Machinist, Machine Tool Apprentice, Tool & Die Apprentice, and Machine Operator. Graduates will be able to translate engineers' designs into systems and projects; collect and analyze data; inspect work; check, maintain, and adjust machine tools; and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Course work includes drafting, blueprint reading, machining, cutting and work holding, robotics, metrology, CNC turning, and CNC milling courses. 

 

 

Graduation Requirements

1. Total Credit Hours: 25 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
2. Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
3. Residency: 13 credit hours or more at Richland
