Probation and Parole Officer Certificate (019E)

The Probation and Parole Officer Certificate is designed to prepare individuals for a rewarding career in probation and parole services, focusing on the supervision and rehabilitation of offenders. The program includes comprehensive coursework in probation and parole, where students learn the processes of supervising individuals on probation or parole, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered conditions. Investigative report writing training equips students with the skills to document offenders' progress, violations, and any other critical developments, ensuring accurate records for legal and corrective action. Additionally, criminal justice fundamentals provide a solid understanding of the broader criminal justice system, including laws, corrections, and the roles of various justice agencies. This certificate ensures that graduates are well-prepared to work in probation and parole roles, helping offenders reintegrate into society while maintaining public safety.
