PN 131 Pharmacology for Practical Nursing II
building on Pharmacology I, this course expands students? understanding of drug therapy across diverse patient populations and complex clinical scenarios. Emphasis is placed on safe administration, critical thinking in drug selection, monitoring therapeutic and adverse effects, and applying the nursing process to optimize patient outcomes. Legal, ethical, and social considerations are reinforced, along with strategies for patient teaching and adherence. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; areas of concentration include practical nursing (credit hours 2.0, lecture hours 2.0).
