PN 127 Professional Identity and Nursing Success

this course introduces and reinforces professional values and competencies essential for success in practical nursing. Students explore safety, legal and ethical practice, teaching and learning principles, delegation, leadership, informatics, evidence-based practice, and health policy. The course also emphasizes test-taking strategies, NCLEX preparation, study and time management skills, and stress management. Critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and problem solving are applied through prioritization and delegation scenarios, fostering nursing judgement and professional growth. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; areas of concentration include practical nursing (credit hours 1.0, lecture hours 1.0).
