includes a wider range of reading selections than previous courses. Grammatical structure is reviewed, expanded, and incorporated in a communicative approach. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include humanities (AAS and ALS only); areas of concentration include foreign language (credit hours 4.0, lecture hours 4.0).
