PN 115 Professional Nursing 1

is designed to provide practical nursing students an introduction to the profession of nursing practice. Concepts related to safety, legal and ethical issues, teaching and learning, nursing leadership, informatics, evidence-based practice, and health policy are introduced. Discussion on successful study and testing practice along with time management principles is included. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; areas of concentration include nursing (credit hours 1.0, lecture hours 1.0).

admission to the Practical Nursing program. Completion of PSYCH 145 and completion of or concurrent enrollment in PN 118, PN 120, PN 125, and BIOL 201
