HLTH 290 Health Internship

involves applying the knowledge and skills learned in a health professions program in a clinical setting. This course provides students enrolled in health profession programs opportunities to explore areas of clinical interest as they are mentored by health professionals. Students use knowledge gained in the health programs to hone technical skills and improve critical thinking, adaptability, prioritization, assessment, and patient care management. Students complete online assignments and participate weekly in clinical experiences (60 contact hours equal 1 clinical credit) throughout the course. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 1.0-2.0, lab hours 8.0).
