ENGL 160 Literature and Gender

introduces students to literary works written by or about major women and/or LGBTQ+ writers through reading, discussion, and written analysis. Students are also exposed to historical, educational, and social trends that relate to women or to the construction of gender identity. Emphasis may be placed on specific gnres or groups of writers, such as women of color or LGBTQ+ writers.
