CDL 1005 CDL Permit
is designed to provide indviduals with the knowledge necessary to obtain the Illinois Secretary of State Commercial Driver's License Learner's Permit (CLP). This course will cover endorsement preparation and transportation regulations and students completing this course will not only be prepared to earn the learner's permit, but will also obtain all the theoretical knowledge required for successful completion of the Transportation Certificate. The course satisfies the FMCSA regulations for Entry Level Driver Training to prepare students to work in the transportation industry. This course is applicable toward all basic certificates (credit hours 5.0, lecture hours 5.0).
Prerequisite
The Ilinois Secretary of State has in place several requirements to obtain a Commercial Learner's Permit. This course prepares students with the knowledge to successfully pass the CLP but the student should verify through https://www.ilsos.gov/departments/drivers/drivers_license/CDL/cdl.html to confirm that they meet the age, medical, residency, and other requirements of the State of Illinois.
