AUTO 213 Hybrib/Electric Vehicle Maintenance

provides an in-depth introduction to electric vehicles (EVs) in the context of automotive technology. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles, components, and systems that make up electric vehicles. Topics covered include EV history, battery technology, charging infrastructure, electric powertrains, safety considerations, and the environmental impact of EVs. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, and group projects, students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to work with electric vehicles in the automotive industry. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 4.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 4.0).
