Early Childhood Education Basic (2135)

Richland Community College is entitled by Gateways to Opportunities to offer the ECE Credentials level 2 and 3. The ECE Credential Level 2 is aligned with the Basic Certificate, and the ECE Credential Level 3 is aligned with the Advanced Certificate. The Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Credential provides students with the education and practical experience that Early Childhood Education Employers seek in qualified staff.

 

These are career and technical education certificates. Some of the courses may not transfer to four-year institutions.

 

Graduation Requirements

  1. Total Credit Hours: 18 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above
  2. Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.00 (‘C’) or better for all work applicable toward the degree that was completed at Richland
  3. Residency: 9 credit hours or more at Richland Community College
