AGRIC 231 Crop Scouting
is an in-depth look at crop scouting procedures for corn, soybeans, wheat, and other central Illinois crops. Students will learn how to observe and record crop condition; diagnose weed, disease, and insect problems; determine plant populations; complete yield checks, and based on economic thresholds make recommendations for addressing any problems. This course is applicable toward AAS; areas of concentration include agriculture (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 2.0).
