HIT 292 HIT Capstone
integrates application of knowledge and skills learned in prior HIT courses with a blend of virtual projects and supervised professional practical experience in a healthcare setting. It is designed to prepare students for professional roles in HIT and promote ethical standards of practice. Emphasis is placed on AHIMA domains and professional competencies, leadership projects, and preparation for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) examination. Students will complete at least 45 hours in a professional work environment. This course is applicable toward AAS (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 3.0).
Prerequisite
Sophomore with a minimum of 45 HIT credit hours completed.
