HIT 215 Electronic Health Records
covers the key elements of the electronic health record (EHR) planning and implementation process. This course covers EHR history, trends, and common pitfalls. Students learn to develop a migration pathway to implementation and ongoing management of EHR-related systems. Learning takes place through lecture and hands-on applications. This course also introduces students to health information exchange (HIE) and personal health records (PHR). This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 2.0).
