ENGL 088 Reading & Study Skills 1
is designed to help the students gain greater understanding of written material by providing students with an introduction to fundamental reading comprehension necessary for success in college and life. The focus is on comprehending main ideas and supporting evidence. Vocabulary acquisition in context and study skills as well as reading rate improvement will be introduced. This course is applicable toward basic certificates; group requirements include preparatory to other studies; areas of concentration include preparatory to other studies (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0).
