MATH 106 Mathematics for Health Careers
review and introduction of mathematical functions, concepts, and processes relevant to medication administration, including the household, apothecary, and metric systems of measurement; methods to determine amounts of medication to be given based upon order, calculation of intravenous flow rates; unit measurement of drugs; insulin and parenteral dosages and syringes; medication administration records; and application problems. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include mathematics; areas of concentration include nursing (credit hours 2.0, lecture hours 2.0).
