MCE 104 Problem Solving in Manufacturing
introduces the 8 step Problem Solving method and the 10-part Drive and Dedication model. Instructs the students to clarify the problem, break it down to analyze it, set achievable targets, analyze the root cause, develop countermeasures, evaluate results and the process, standardize the results, and learn from failures. Fosters the development of a customer first philosophy involving all the stakeholders. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS; areas of concentration include engineering technology (credit hours 1.0, lecture hours 1.0).
