ELTRN 100 AC/DC Electrical Systems
introduces basic electrical circuits and their applications, electrical measurements, electrical power, electromagnetism, capacitance, and transformers. Topics include manual switch operators, types of circuit protection, voltmeters, electromagnetic devices, effects of capacitor in an AC circuit, combination circuit problem solving and calculating output voltage of a transformer. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS; areas of concentration include engineering technology (credit hours 2.0, lecture hours 1.0, lab hours 2.0).
