Bistro Five Thirty Seven is a full-service restaurant located in the Shilling Community Education Center. Fully operated by the Richland Culinary Arts Institute, the restaurant is a working laboratory for students seeking national certification by the American Culinary Federation. The menu selections at Bistro Five Thirty Seven will change regularly and incorporate unique cuisine and comprehensive cooking techniques. This entrepreneurial student experience is the capstone course of the Culinary Arts Institute and ensures that graduates have the competencies and skills necessary to be successful in the culinary field.
Bistro Five Thirty Seven is typically open Tuesdays and Thursdays for lunch and dinner. Hours of operation are posted and may be different when classes are not in session. Reservations are preferred and can be placed by calling 217.875.7211, Ext. 6537, or online through

Bistro To Go
Bistro To Go is a food truck operated by the Richland Culinary Arts Institute to serve as a working laboratory for students seeking a certificate in Food Truck Management. The menu selections will change regularly and incorporate unique cuisine and comprehensive cooking techniques. This entrepreneurial student experience is the capstone course for the Food Truck Management certificate and ensures that graduates have the competencies and skills necessary to be successful in this specialized segment of the food service industry.
Bistro To Go is typically open Mondays and Wednesdays. Hours are posted and may differ when classes are not in session. Bistro To Go is located next to the Bistro Five Thirty Seven patio.
Richland Coffee House
The Richland Coffee House, located near the Mueller Student Center, is a student-operated laboratory for the Culinary Arts Institute. The Coffee House offers beverages and pastries produced by the students. With advance notice, beverages and pastries may be purchased for groups on campus. Hours are posted.
The Café
The Café, operated by the Culinary Arts Institute, is located next to the Mueller Student Center. It offers a variety of sandwiches, wraps, fried foods, drinks, and daily specials. Vending
Vending machines are located in the Café, in the Scherer Industrial Technology Center, in the Workforce Development Institute, in the Carroll Center for Innovative Learning, and in the Shilling Center south of the lobby.
