HORT 225 Tree & Shrub Maintenance
studies the techniques of ornamental tree and shrub care, including plant biology, planting and transplanting, pruning, fertility, pest control, and equipment use and safety. On completion, the student should be able to prune trees and shrubs properly and perform arboriculture practices. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS; areas of concentration include agriculture (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 2.0).
