DMHT 135 Diesel Truck Transmissions
includes an in-depth study of transmissions, drive shafts, and universal joints; troubleshooting techniques and proper repair of these systems are emphasized. Requires students to isolate and repair vehicular concerns related to the transmission system, driveshaft, and universal joints by following strategic processes. Provides theory, diagnosis, and service of these systems and components. Students are given the opportunity to analyze these systems and system operational characteristics. The course places emphasis on testing and service procedures of mechanical and computer-controlled transmission systems. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 4.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 6.0).
