AFAM 120 African American Experience
surveys African-American heritage from its African roots through the beginning of the civil rights movement and critically examines literature and other products of African-American culture. Multiple perspectives are discussed in the areas of history, religion, politics, philosophy, psychology, economics, cultural and social institutions. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include humanities, fine arts; areas of concentration include African-american studies (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0).
