Dropping a Course
Administrative Drop/Withdrawal
Prior to the ninth day (or equivalent), an instructor may drop a student who has failed to attend the first two class sessions or more.
Prior to submitting a final grade roster, an instructor may withdraw a student who has failed to meet attendance standards or attain sufficient progress in the course but is not required to do so.
Student-Initiated Drop/Withdrawal
Prior to the ninth day or equivalent, a student may request to drop a course by submitting the drop to the Student Success Center. Students withdrawing from a course after the ninth day (or equivalent) of traditional session classes each term will have a grade of W recorded on their permanent academic record. Students are responsible for submitting the withdrawal to the Student Success Center.
Withdrawing from the College
Students withdrawing after the ninth day (or equivalent) of traditional session classes each term will have a grade of W recorded on their permanent academic record. Students are responsible for submitting the withdrawal to the Student Success Center. All withdrawals must be filed no later than 7 days prior to the end of the course (inclusive of finals).
Students are advised to contact their Success Coach and Financial Aid Specialist before dropping a course or withdrawing from the College.
