Accommodations
Richland Community College offers support to students with documented disabilities by providing individualized academic and testing accommodations. Students requesting accommodations for placement testing should contact the Academic Success Center Accommodations Office prior to scheduling or taking any placement test. Disability Accommodations application instructions, documentation guidelines, and additional details can be found on the Accommodations webpage. Students must initiate and complete all steps of the process before accommodations are approved.

Testing
The Testing Center, located in Room N114, Ext. 6238, provides testing services for placement in reading, writing, mathematics, and health courses. Also administered are GED, ILTS, U.S. Constitution, tests for online/hybrid classes, exams from other universities, and make-up tests for Richland classes. Photo identification is required for all students completing any test in the Testing Center. Students completing testing for CLEP or MSSC or tests for other universities may need to pay an additional fee.

Tutoring
The Academic Success Center/Tutoring (ASC), 217.875.7211, Ext. 6379, Room S134, offers tutoring to Richland students. Tutors are available by walk-in or appointment for many core subjects including English, math, biology, and chemistry. Tutors can also help with reading comprehension, study skills, vocabulary building, research, and specific written assignments. When the College is open, computers with tutorial software and word processing programs are available on a walk-in basis. Mathematics Enrichment Center
The Mathematics Enrichment Center, 217.875.7211, Ext. 6558, Room S102, offers math tutoring to Richland students. Tutors provide personalized assistance and math study skills on a walk-in basis, and computers are available for student use.
