IT 242 Wireless Networking

introduces the student to wireless networking technologies, wireless network design, implementation, operation, and troubleshooting. Topics include WLANs, IEEE 802.11, site surveys, wireless topologies, basic configuration and use of wireless access points, network interface cards, wireless bridging, principles of antenna design, and security issues. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 2.0).
