ENGL 160 Literature and Gender

introduces students to literary works written by major women writers or about women through reading, discussion, and written analysis. Students are also exposed to historic, educational, and social trends that relate to women and the impact of women on these same trends. Emphasis may be placed on specific genres or groups of writers, such as women of color. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include humanities; areas of concentration include English (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0). IAI:H3 911D
