ACCT 105 Intro to Nonprofit Accouting

provides students with the tools necessary to create and maintain a complete and accurate set of accounting records for a non-profit organization; topics include a discussion of the non-profit environment, an explanation of and practice with journal entries, chart of accounts, and income and expense tracking; how transactions provide current information about cash balances and cash requirements and provide information to management and/or a board of directors for budgeting and other essential tasks; and an overview of alternative record-keeping methodologies and how to make appropriate choices. This course is applicable toward all certificates, AAS, ALS (credit hours 2.0, lecture hours 2.0, lab hours 1.0).
