AFAM 120 African American Experience
surveys African-American heritage from its African roots through the beginning of the civil rights movement and critically examines literature and other products of African American culture. Multiple perspectives are discussed in the areas of history, religion, politics, philosophy, psychology, economics, cultural and social institutions. This course is applicable toward all certificates and degrees; group requirements include humanities, fine arts; areas of concentration include African-american studies (credit hours 3.0, lecture hours 3.0).
